Today is a holiday, which means to be a work day. Just not in the office, on the plane. And it paid off, I am 6 rivets away from completing the horizontal stabilizer. A culmination of about 50 hours of work, its nice to feel like I’m actually making headway. I will call an EAA tech counselor this week and have my work checked. If there is any major issues, I’d better find them now.
My dad helped buck the rest of the flush rivets today. I also got a little help from Beth, her first bucking experience. I called her lizzy the riveter .. she didn’t seem too amused.
After the left side was done, I added a strip of wood to the back to make sure I didn’t twist the center spar:

An hour or so of squeezing rivets with the pneumatic squeezer later, looks like an airplane part:
